Happy Birthday dedicated to Maxine Childs.

A great performance during a strong period in Stevie Wonder's long career. The New Yorker did a profile of him in March 1995 that describes the backstage for this show, available here: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1995/03/13/realms-of-wonder

The recording is excellent, but there were several digi-glitches and short drop outs. These have been eliminated by copying audio from adjacent measures, or otherwise disguised. About two-thirds of the way through the show, however, the taper was harassed by a woman who claimed he was “ripping off the black man” and called security about a minute into Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Fortunately, the taper was able to hand his gear off to a friend in the balcony who picked up at the end of Uptight. Unfortunately, most of those two songs are missing. The sound quality changes a bit after the location change, of course.

Enjoy!
