Come Home With Me, Little Matty Groves: songs that tell a story
2011 New Bedford Summerfest
New Bedford, MA USA
3-Jul 2011
Kruger/Water St. Stage

Mark Erelli (ME), Ellis Paul (EP), Danielle Miraglia (DM) and David Jones (DJ) perform songs that fulfill the title of the workshop, in their opinions ... :-)

Sound: A-
Due to some restless people combined with creaky folding chairs, along with loud choppers periodically passing by on the way to the biker bar up the road.
Ellis either sings very loudly or they had his mike volume turned up too high in his first song. They seemed to adjust that in his subsequent songs. I applied a -3.0 db adjustment in a couple spots so I could boost the rest of the set without clipping.

Performances: A
It was nice to see a little interplay when Mark played during Ellis's and at least one of Danielle's songs. Maria's Beautiful Mess has really grown on me since I first heard it a year ago. Danielle is very much someone to watch for if you get the chance to see her - beautiful blonde playing these low-down blues licks and singing with a real soulful voice.
