Notes: first, an absolutely true story..... I was in a mood to put out some shows from
my "archives", so this morning, I transferred and uploaded an Electric Prunes show from
2008.... I moved a few shows over from a hard drive to the computer while trying to decide
what to put up next, of which this was one, I had this show on my mind because I'd just upped
that Prunes show from a few months later.... then went to lunch at the local Chinese joint...
at the end, they gave me my fortune cooky and on the back of my "fortune" were my lucky numbers
and a word and its Chinese equivalent..... that word was strawberry..... not claiming that's
freaky or anything, but I did take it as a hint that this one should be next, and I included a
photo of the fortune so that y'all will know I'm not bullshitting you with the story.......
so, this was a gig where the Strawberry Alarm Clock opened for the aforementioned Electric Prunes,
the show was billed as the Prunes first show in Hollywood in 40 years.... the SAC set was pretty loose,
but very enjoyable to this psychedelic rock fan.... sadly, in researching the band to help
compile the setlist, I found out that Lee Freeman passed away in 2010.....
