This was sent to me labeled as soundboard, but after listening to this, it's clearly an audience tape.

The cd was a mess when I got it. I did a bunch of work on this to fix minor flaws and repair some random volume drop outs.

Micro gaps were removed and songs were re-tracked and re-arranged into the proper sequence.

The Stray Cats played 2 shows this day. I know this is the late show based on the song "I Sure Miss You", which was only played during the late show.

According to the Setzer archive site, "I Sure Miss You" was only played twice in 1981 (as far as they know).

Also worth noting was that part of the late show was broadcast on television in France.

On a side note, during the Early show Brian was hit in the head with a carriage bolt while they were playing "Rock This Town". The band cut that song short.

This cd of the Late show has "Rock This Town", but the tape cuts and continues @ 3:53. Strange coincidence?

You'll notice at the start of track 7, the sound quality becomes instantly noisier with tape hiss and rumble and becomes much louder.

I'm not sure why it changes that way. Makes me wonder if that audio was taken from the TV performance?

After track 7, it goes back to it's original sound quality.

The Setzer archive site indicates that the last song should be "Something Else".

But it sounds like Brian is just about the start into another song as the track ends. I find that a bit odd.

We're supposedly missing 2 songs, 'Drink That Bottle Down' & 'You Can't Hurry Love'.

After all the work I did on this, I believe this is how it should be presented.
