Excellent soundboard recording

** mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section

OK, fans of New Orleans music...because of the endless and continuing generosity of fellow DIME member cjsiegel ("Crusty"), I'm able and proud to present his latest recording of the subdudes!

Huge thanks to Crusty, the subdudes themselves and Drew (the band's soundman). Crusty told me that this recording is "fully approved" by the band and Drew...and they heartily endorse the distribution of this show just so long as no money changes hands (i.e., it's distributed for FREE).

I should also mention the extra special treats included in this particular torrent: (1) enclosed are scans of both setlists that Drew was given before the band took the stage, and (2) the last track on Disc 2 is a "bonus track": the subdudes' Tommy Malone joins opening act the Beth McKee Band on a great version of Sam Cooke's 1962 song "Soothe Me".

The sound quality of this show is A+. But then again, ALL of Crusty's subdudes recordings are top shelf...so I wouldn't expect anything different. We are so fortunate that Crusty (and the band) have graciously allowed these fine recordings to circulate for our listening benefit.

And before I forget, let's once again review the applicable catchphrases:
"Crusty Rulez.....everybody else droolz!" (courtesy of billydee), and
"If it's Crusty, it's a musty!" (documentboy)

Lineage (from Crusty):
SBD > ESI U24XL interface > Soundforge > Digital (24-bit) > R8Brain (dither to 16 bit) > CDR

Lineage (on TheCommish's end):
CDR (from Crusty) > EAC > WAV > CD Wave (tracking) > Nero (editing) > FLAC Frontend (sector boundary-aligned) > FLAC

Editing notes (using Nero's wave editor):
* Track 109: Deleted 3 seconds of "noise" at end of track (resulting from board inputs being moved/changed)
* Tracks 101, 112, 201, 211 and 212: Small fades in/out applied
* Volume adjustment in track 101 only (+12dB for majority of the track)

If you decide to download this show, won't you please consider posting a comment on the show's board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run.

And won't you please thank Crusty for yet ANOTHER dynamite subdudes show?

For any of you interested in MORE subdudes material, let me point out that there's some really nice streaming radio programs of the 'dudes in WFUV's archives, found here (just do a search on 'subdudes'):
