SUGAR BLUE French sessions FM 1978, 1980 and 1995 masters, FLAC

The legend says Sugar Blue was playing down in the subway in Paris when he was asked to play on the some girls Stone's album.
When he lived there, he did some radio sessions and also played the french jazz festivals: what i recorded from him on the radio is now collected here.

This last number is from the Paris Bataclan set (a master audience recording i did) on march 4 1980.

For the 1978 appearances, SB was backed by Catherine Savage on guitar, in 1980 the guitarist of the band was probably Paul Cooper.


The recordings were made on cassettes tapes except for 04 05 06 07 08 12 and 13 (reels).

Cassettes played on a Marrantz SD4051 cassette deck, reels played on AKAI R2R machine; zoom H4 for wave files; PC; audacity for volume and tracking; FLAC.
