NOTES

A few years back, I tracked down a still sealed copy of this boxset; cost a pretty penny.
An entire run of gigs from 1980-12-26 thru to 1981-01-01, yummy!
Imagine to my dismay, one of the discs is MISSING (disc 19) - bootlegs, sigh.
I wrapped the whole thing back up, and put it aside, bummed.

In the midst of the great Sun Ra 100th birthday celebration of 2014, I revisited the box.
Started disc extracts, reviewing what's official, title gathering, and whatnot.
Never finished, but I'm trying to remedy that now.

Examination of the Tape-ography shows that some of the 1980-12-31 & 1981-01-01 shows were officially released.
("Beyond the Purple Star Zone was drawn from this marathon stand by the Arkestra, as well as (parts of?) God's Private Eye.")

This is my attempt to pull from the box, what I think is shareable.
(I'm not sure if anyone's already shared some of these in the past - likely not in my time here.)
A couple look like MPEG - 1980-12-27 + 1981-01-01 03AM, so I skipped those shows.
I can't speak to their provenance, but can say they were this way on the Transparency disks.
And because of the official release, I'll skip all of the 1980-12-31 & 1981-01-01 shows.

So this takes the remaining gigs, and shares them individually.
If this is successful, it'd be exactly half the box - 14 of the 28 discs.
1980-12-26 - YES
1980-12-27 - *NO* MPEG
1980-12-28 - YES
1980-12-29 - YES
1980-12-30 - YES
1980-12-31 08PM - *NO* OFFICIAL
1980-12-31 11PM - *NO* OFFICIAL
1981-01-01 03AM - *NO* MPEG + OFFICIAL

There's limited 1980 material out there, so it's great to hear more from these dates.
