The band played a convincing concert at the annual KulturArena in Jena.
Unfortunately, the weather was not the best, so it rained during the first half of the concert,
which can be heard in the quieter passages of the recording.
The KulturArena is located right next to a busy street in Jena, but is well shielded by sound barriers.
At one point (approx. at 1:30h), however, a police siren can be heard.
I had dealt with the Sun Ra Arkestra in the 1970s and had them rather as a (free) jazz band in my memory.
In this respect I was a bit surprised about the sound colors of the concert.
But I liked the concert very much - maybe my memory of the band's sound in the 1970s was not correct.
