Just three weeks before The Band played with horns
in New York and recorded what would become Rock of
Ages, they performed in Boston to a crowd that only
filled about 40% of the Garden. Another recording
of The Band's portion of this - concert has
circulated for a long time. I have never seen a
recording of the opener circulate.
My friend taped this. Somehow over the years, the
second tape (containing most of The Band's set
got lost) - only the first five songs remain
(they are included herein as filler)
1. Life is a Carnival
2. That Shape I'm In
3. The Weight
4. Stage Fright
5. King Harvest
