The torrent includes a scan of the flyer for the show and an autographed promo photo (the photo is probably from the late 70's).

soundboard > Sony high end desktop cassette deck (possibly a TC-K777 or TC-FX77) Maxell XLII-S90

transfer: Sony TC-K71 (Dolby off) > Sek'd Prodif Plus > Sound Forge 8 (24 bit, track, normalize to peak levels, BIAS Sound Soap noise reduction DX plug-in, bit-depth conversion to 16 bit, export to .wav files) > FLAC level 8 encoding align on sector boundaries. Not burned to cdr - no EAC.

I think the original recording was made with Dolby off since the tape is not marked 'Dolby B or C on' as was my custom. Since it is a little hissy, I took the liberty of applying some very slight noise (hiss) reduction using BIAS Sound Soap. If anyone wants the recording without this processing please contact me and I'd be happy to oblige. I usually am against offering original recordings with any processing but I was very light-handed here, plus I am keeping a copy of the transfer without noise reduction should there be reason to do anything with it in the future.

The venue for this show was The Cotati Cabaret in Cotati, CA. It was a small club that held about 300 people. Cotati is a small town located about an hour north of San Francisco. The Cabaret was an outgrowth of another venue that had been across the street called The Inn of The Beginning, a resurrected version of which has since 'risen from the ashes' once or twice since the 80's.

Cotati is next to Sonoma State University, which was called Granola State University back in the days. SSU is where the great recording of Old & In The Way with Ramblin' Jack Elliott opening was made in 1973. There is a great poster of the O&ITW show, my copy of which is long gone :<(
