I have been going through the wonderful recent Television shows shared on Audacity in recent times,
having collected some before, but sadly having lost them through pc troubles.
Having already done some work on a 1974 and 1975 show, I felt this one needed a little work, mostly
due to the fact it ran slow, but also due to the slightly 'claustrophobic' sound. I have widened the
sound using Audacity and mda_image, and increased the speed by 4%. Samples will follow in the Comments
below for comparison with the original so you can see if this is one you need.
The track edits were also cleaned up...the tape was often paused off before the next track, leaving a loud
splice, which I've carefully edited out.
I've really enjoyed working on and listening through this one...I'm working towards doing a collection
of my Television live moments, hence doing 'repairs' where I feel necessary before starting the selection process. Little Johnny Jewel is (almost obviously) very good here! Adventure, too, is a tour de force.
If you snap this up, enjoy.
Interestingly someone can close to the recorder asks "Patti" when 'these guys record is coming out?'. Presumably not Patti Smith!?
