TEN YEARS AFTER BBC 1967-1969 (1st gen. copies, as complete as possible compilation)
Title: TURN UP YOUR TRANSISTOR RADIO! (quote from Alvin's ad-libbing in "I'm Going Home" from Aug. 14, 1968, at 2:16; track no. 8)
Contrast clause: contrary to all previous uploads and circulating silver CDs or collectors' CD-Rs, this compilation comes with
1. all somehow available BBC sessions, incl. the previously rarely circulated July 27, 1969 session (albeit only as an mp3 download);
2. (almost) all 1968 BBC tracks are now 1st. gen. copies and should be an upgrade for most of us around here, and
3. includes as a bonus, their rather scarcely circulated "Colour Me Pop" TV show appearance with the only known live version of "A Sad Song". And no, I unfortunately have never ever come across a better sounding copy, let alone the video (though that would be more than nice, I know).

With a kazillion thanks to kneesfudd for his fantastic contribution of adding a 1st gen. copy of the hitherto missing "Spider in my Web" from Aug. 14, 1968 (which for completeness I would have really liked to incorporate in this torrent as track #12 but the Dime rules prohibit double torrents), just add track this from torrent #525569. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=525569
My gratitude also goes to my source, my low-generation god Larry "Florida Kid" Clark whom I obtained all these 1st. gen. copies from in a trade/swap in the late 90's or early 2000's.
Since there are deluxe DoCD versions of TYA's first three albums being announced for May 22, 2015 on amazon.com, it may be speculated what may be on the respective 2nd CDs (no info is given on the amazon site as of now).
Back in the day, Deram already plundered their vaults for their 1972 "Alvin Lee & Company" compilation which IMHO contains a lot of real gems and complements the band's first three albums more than nicely (IMHO); just the cover artwork was a bit "cheapo"-looking for my taste.
For the more recent expanded editions from 2002, and with the help of drummer Ric Lee, a lot more of the locked-away or "lost" tracks could thankfully be resurrected. I imagine the supplies must be dried up by now. Hence, it could be that they decided to finally use the band's BBC sessions, and perhaps the audio from some of their early TYA appearances such as the March 13, 1968 "Baton Rouge" show from French TV or the Feb. 16, 1968 Danish TV performance. Also, in the very early 2000's there was the plan to release a 2CD-Anthology titled "The Deram Years" which was unfortunately shelved as it was to have contained "Spoonful" from a 3-track radio b'cast from the band's Aug. 28,1969 Boston Tea Party show; so that show is in the record company's hands, too.
Anyway, we all know all too well that record companies have had the tendency to strangle BBC recordings with noise reduction (see Cream's infamous BBC compilation, for one), or to butcher them otherwise by editing or leaving off certain tracks or whatever enters their heads.
So in case Universal/Deram really release some of TYA's BBC material, they just *might* fluff the job, and therefore I thought I better upload and share with you what I have to offer before the sessions turn official and all fellow Dimers are deprived of the chance to get to hear the complete and undoctored copies. Good idea?
And yet again, my Personal Pillorying Pleasure and ceterum censeo: Screw you Sh*tyoda F*ckords, this show is NOT MEANT FOR SALE. I know you give a sh*t but I take my freedom to tell you what I think of you (and likeminded crookleggers).
Please do NOT spread this show in lossy formats - otherwise: enjoy, trade, share!

TYA ahoy!
