This is a wonderful concert with extreme dynamics,
both sonically and emotionally; from sensitive atmospherics to a brutal wall of sound.
This was the first time that Rypdal appeared with his 8-string Fender guitar,
which has enabled him to play an even wider range of tones,
and create the enormous dynamic that is his trademark.
Several years ago this recording was released (with Rypdal's permission apparently)
on a non-official production cassette (OPD 003) with a limited edition of 50 copies.
From copy #38 comes this remaster. The hiss was the main problem, and most of the work
involved with this restoration has involved very careful denoising.
There is still some hiss remaining (to take more out would have lead to the recording falling to pieces),
but this remaster is much brighter and clearer that the previously traded CDR,
which is muffled and woolly by comparison.
