I am very excited to kick off a new mini series of historic master recordings from dime member swittich.

Swittich taped 13 shows in 1973-1974 in the Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia area, four have been previously released from straight transfers and the balance are uncirculated. In the past collectors offering to transfer shows wanted to pick and choose specific shows, of course we will be releasing every show...no tape left behind.

Volume 2 in our series has been previously released but this time out there are a number of firsts.

The first azimuth adjusted transfer directly from Scott's master tape. New 2024 pitch correction, it was way off, and mastering (since 2008?), and most exciting it appears this is the first time the complete show is available. According to the bot archives when this was originally released it did not include the encore of "Don't Do It". It certainly could have been included previously and not listed but it appears the first transfer of this tape may have missed the encore on the B side, either way...here it is.

A unique aspect of the show is the absence of Richard Manuel due to illness.

Quality is excellent for the era and recording gear, swittich found a nice spot close to the stage with minimal audience noise.

We've included a couple of photos Scott took of the Band on stage and of the massive crowd in the cover artwork. We've also included a bunch of newspaper clippings about the show, the audience, a review of the show, and letters to the editor about how the included review of the show was completely wrong about the show.

A note about the stadium name, Cleveland Stadium, commonly known as Municipal Stadium, Lakefront Stadium, or Cleveland Municipal Stadium. When this show was shared previously it was shared as Cleveland Municipal Stadium. For this posting, we are going with the original stadium name, Cleveland Stadium, and the way it was advertised in the newspaper at the time.

Thanks to swittich for reaching out for assistance in getting these historic shows out, the tapes have been safely stored and so far so good on the transfers.

On the honor roll for this release is Goody, our resident pitch master, this one sure needed his help.

Artwork is included.
