9th March 1976 Notes:
Very special thanks to hntgzr for transfering my tape to computer, and to jch42 for the tricky job of speed
correcting it!.
The infamous '76 US tour opener in Boston, which was cut short when Moon collapsed after just two numbers
and was unable to continue. Moon's playing began very dodgy, then sped up and slowed down as the songs
progressed, prompting the others to try and keep up with him. After Substitute, it becomes clear that the
show will have to be scrapped.
This CD is taken from my cassette copy of the show, made circa 1986, and seems to be quite low gen - other
versions I've heard are more hissy and flat sounding. The original had a very dull and muted left channel,
whereas the right was ok. So, I changed the mix, placing the right in the middle, but leaving the left as
it was, because this in in fact a stereo recording, but only noticable in between tracks - the audience
chat can be heard in stereo. Leaving the left channel out altogether would have removed this effect.
1st April 1976 Notes:
This is the make up show after Moon's collapse on the 9th of march. A very crisp and lively sounding
recording of what was one of the best shows of '76. I presume that this tape was the same source for
the "Behind Blind Eyes" CD release, but having not heard that one, I don't know for sure. However,
there is a chance that this is an earlier copy, as I got this on CD before that Dynamite Studios CD
was made avaliable.
CDR's ripped as range with EAC, faded with Audition and re-tracked with CD Wave by Gold Hawk.
