A HITWITSTUFF2 RECORDING

Sharp MD with Core Sound binaural microphones>Alesis Masterlink 9500 for Mastering>AIFF> (conversion using xACT)

At first glance, They Might Be Giants are the epitome of uncool. Total nerd stuff. I guess with my harder rock/punk/psych/oldies tastes this band can be considered a guilty pleasure. At closer look, you see a band who can easily slip into any of those modes I mentioned as my tastes.
This particular line-up with the band of Dans (not the Dan Band) is my favorite. I saw and recorded this band a number of times over the years, but this was my first and favorite show.
After the events of September 11th a lot of this tour was canceled along with all air travel. So they drove their bus. This is one of the first shows after those tragic events for the band and for a lot of the audience. For me, It was the first opportunity to do something to completely distract from the national mourning.
The band was on fire! Less talking than usual and songs played with an above normal energy. Also, a great set list spanning the bands history.
Maybe not the best sounding of my efforts, but lose yourself in the performance and youre in for a treat. Enjoy!
