This show was a bit of detour from the band's tour celebrating Flood, done for the yearly Shocktober event held by the Arc of
Loudoun. Although still early in October, there were plenty of zombies and ghouls walking around the venue before the show, and
costumes were highly encouraged, which many took up. Flansburg ensured us that all of TMBG's songs are "haunted" as well. There
were also many references to the fact that we were in a hockey arena, an unusual venue for TMBG to play. They took great
advantage of the space though, and had Dan Miller play a blistering guitar solo from the bleachers during "Damn Good Times." The
full Tricerachops horn group wasn't there, but we did get the great Mark Pender on trumpet for a bunch of songs.

The theme for the set was "Big Hits and Deep Cuts," and the band definitely delivered with all the favorites and more. I recorded
from front row center, with my mics clipped to my THEY crown. I'm really happy with how the recording came out, though just be
warned that there was a woman standing right next to me who went absolutely nuts when any of the more popular songs were played.
Maybe she was just trying to contribute to the spooky vibe by making it sound like someone was getting murdered at the beginning
of a bunch of songs.
