Third Eye Blind
Christmas Kerfuffle
First Niagara Center
Buffalo, NY
December 18, 2015

Taper: Binko
Gear: AT831s > Tascam DR-08
Transfered and mastered by }{eywood
Lineage: DR-08 (wav @ 24/96) > USB > Adobe Audition 1.5 (EQ, peak limiting, splits & fades) > Xrecode II (conversion to 16/44.1) > TLH (SBE fix, flac 8)

Ah the travails of digital recorders. More specifically, ones that reset themselves to default settings spontaneously and without warning. Apparently the recorder had turned the input setting from external to internal mics without Binko's knowledge, so this concert was taped with the internals from inside his pocket. Consequently it is very muffled. I EQ'd it as best I could to try to make the music clearer and more audible, but it's still not the greatest sounding thing.

Honestly I couldn't be bothered to figure out the names of the songs here. This show seems to have a target audience of 12 year old girls, and the crap factor was too high for me to take exposure for too long lest I be reduced to a drooling, gibbering moron. Band after band of sheer garbage. Third Eye Blind tried to make their stuff seem important by having breakdowns in the middle of every song, but still they sound like commercial jingles. Wolf Alice's songs sound like themes from Disney Channel sitcoms. Matt & Kim sound more like a circus act than a band. Their act seems to be conspicuously absent of any actual songs, just fragments and samples of other people's music. Of everything here Sublime seems to be strangely out of place singe they seem to take music seriously.

If you (or more likely your 'tween daughter) like this sort of thing, then here you go. Enjoy! (if you can. I'd personally rather stick pencils in my ears than ever hear this again). I see why they called it the Kerfuffle. A nonsense word to describe nonsense music.

Only a 16/44.1 version was produced of this. The recording is too crappy sounding to warrant a high res version, and no audiophile would listen to this shit anyway.
