Performance Notes:

The five-time Grammy-nominated musician and TED Musical Director regailed us with stories regarding the genesis of his new
album, "A Map Of The Floating City" and the internet game based on the album's themes. Thomas also performed selections from
the CD and a couple of classics. He provides a unique insight to the material and his songwriting process. He played a small
Novation keyboard and triggered samples using a Lemur-like device connected to his Macbook Pro. A very modest "rig" to say the
least.

Recording Notes:

A pretty solid recording throughout, although levels seemed to be all over the place. Quieter songs were boosted by approx +3dB.
I resisted the urge to normalize due to background noise from the theater monitors. Unfortuntely, there's a fair amount of hiss
during the quieter moments. I have decided to "release" this recording as it has sat on my hard drive for over a year now. This
recording was essentially "lost" due to a physical hard drive crash that occurred when one of my cats (to remain nameless)
inadvertently knocked over my external drive causing "stiction". I had to disassemble the drive and gently coax the heads back
to track zero. I was able to recover all material from the drive and an outdated back-up sans for one Numan track, one Fixx
and one Peter Murphy editing file. I consider myself very fortunate and will back up everything twice going forward. I hope that
you enjoy the recording from my "Resurrected Archive" series. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Of Note:

Three nights earlier, fellow 80's synth pioneer Howard Jones appeared on the same night as Thomas a mere 3 blocks away from one
another.

Please support the artist by attending one of his live shows or purchasing his excellent new album "A Map Of The Floating City".
