(from the web)

Thornetta Davis gained national attention when she sang with Detroit's "Lamont Zodiac
and the Love Signs". In 1996 she recorded her first album "Sunday Morning Music" on the
famed Seattle label "Sub Pop".

The song "Cry" was featured on "The Sopranos" and between 1997 and 2003, Davis was
backing vocalist for Kid Rock. Thornetta and Kid opened the VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards
at Madison Square Gardens and 1999 Thornetta brought down the house at the "Lilith Fair",
that very same evening she proudly accepted 2 of over 27 Detroit Music Awards that she has
won over the years.

Thornetta has opened for Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, and sang
vocals on Bob Segar's "The Fire Inside". Metro Times Vic Doulette says "Thorny's got the kind
of pipes that make other singers just plain jealous; nobody in their right mind would want to follow
her on the bill".

this is a "Open Air" venue, the bottom end is full of bass...
