QUALITY NOTE: I recorded this set facing directly in front of the stage left PA. There's a little bit of "drift" to it because I had to go with the sway of the audience.

SHOW NOTE: This was an unannounced surprise set by Tinariwen, who were not scheduled to appear on the bill. This is also the infamous performance featuring Bassekou Kouyate and "Bono from Youtube", as he was introduced. Also, I believe this is the first gig in which Ibrahim was not in attendance, and his sudden absence gave credence to the rumors about all the unease happening in the Sahara at the time.
