comments:
this is a complete broadcast, just a couple of commercial breaks edited out
in the source recording. They never say where this is from, and there were several
radio broadcasts of TR & Utopia across the U.S.A. during 1978 and 79. This is a
high energy performance (mostly), very nice versions of last of the NW riders,
caravan, trapped, last ride, love in action, love is the answer and just one victory.
I can only guess that one night Todd and his buddies and/or the WW One people got
together and pulled out a show they thought the whole country should hear. I'd say
they made a good choice with this one, and the recording is complete, no abrupt
cutins/outs (although they are noticable), it comes from my own FM master reel
which has not been played very often, so it has survived the 29 years relatively
well. There may be one very brief tape flaw that I only vaguely remember being
in this recording (It may be in another Todd tape, I have a couple on reel) but
I don't remember hearing that when I remastered this one. It was a brand new reel
in 1979 and still sounds like a good FM should. Probably not a whole concert, but
it sounds to me like it is most of one concert (maybe 2 or 3 but I think not)
and one Todd fans would like to hear if they didn't get a copy of this
FM broadcast which was (I think), in early January 1980.
Do not sell this recording.
Trade freely and losslessly.
