Notes:
Last year, I promised I'd upload some Christmas concerts before Christmas this year, and this is one of them.
This concert was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in December 1995. Tom didn't fill half of his show with Christmas songs like John Denver did - actually, I hesitated to call this a Christmas concert, as the only Christmas song here is "It Was a Night Like This" - but the song is so good that it filled the show with Christmas spirit!
The show was a double bill with Carolyn Hester. Though Carolyn's set was not included in the broadcast, she can still be heard on several songs here. Carolyn's husband, jazz pianist David Blume, backed Tom and Carolyn on keyboards on this joint tour. I've also included recordings of three songs from the same tour that were omitted in the broadcast.
For setlists from this show and a bunch of other Tom Paxton shows, please visit my Tom Paxton setlist page at http://ddpro.ucoz.com/setlists/tompaxton/. The setlists of all Tom Paxton live recordings I know will all be posted there, along with a 90-second sample for each recording.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
