Processing:

Used Hard limiter in Adobe Audition to raise audio by 10db - which was
appropriate for the music - whilst limiting the applause between songs
(which was the loudest part of the recording) to -.2db.
Reduced the annoyance of a recording flaw @ 1:31 using Click removal.
Reduced the annoyance of a digital flaw @ 64:51 using Click removal.
Reduced the annoyance of a digital flaw @ 87:42 using Click removal.
Remaining flaws:
================
The quietness of this gig necessitated the recording settings on the JB3
to be at +48db (the maximum). During the quietest sections all sorts of
unwanted noise is evident:
=> Hiss
=> A quiet "beep" such as what you might expect when pressing buttons on
an electronic device. Presumably some sort of interference either from
the battery box, the mic cables, the mics themselves, or the components
in the JB3.
=> Occasional watery, mp3-like swishes. Very quiet - Left channel.
=> Pulsating beats, possibly pucked up from the mechanics of the hard
drive in the JB3.
=> Occasional extraneous noise - a few coughs, some clattering of seats
towards the end of the show as there were a few audience members that
left early.
These faults seem to highlight the limitations of this particular method
of recording. But they oughtn't to be an issue, and are perhaps only
noticeable under headphone listening, and probably (hopefully) not a
distraction. I think the lesson is to get as close to the music source
for quiet, acoustic shows.
Joanne refers a couple of times to "Richard", whose equipment remained on
stage after his support slot. I didn't catch Richards full name, suffice
to say the support act was a male guitarist and female singer. I think
the singer was referred to as "Chrissy", beyond that I have no idea who
they were.
