Townes Van Zandt

Neusüdende (Pfingstfestival)
Gasthof Lindenhof
Germany
*Notes- I've had this show on cdr for a long time. I've been digging
through boxes because I knew I had a couple Townes shows that hadn't
been shared online. I thought it was time to share this in lossless
format, since It hasn't been done before. This show is listed in the
db, however it's listed as only having 6 songs. I've listened to this
show & it's complete without any cuts or edits. This was also listed
as being part of a festival- "Pfingstfestival", but I have no way to
substantiate that unless someone who was at this show steps forward.
It sounds like there's a lot of people in the room.
Apparently there's film of this show as well. I can't say for sure
if this audio was taken directly from the dvd video, but it does sound
like an excellent audience recording to me. Townes doesn't talk to
much other than to correct somebody who hollers at the end of Blue
Wind Blew "play another Hank Williams song!" He also mentions that he
learned to play "Fraulein" for his dad. Although he doesn't talk much,
this is a top notch performance, with a few rarely played tunes.
