I got some requests to upload my mastertape of Townes' last gig in Rotterdam. I realized, this tape was hidden in my collection for almost ten years. Never saw this gig in trade-lists. The quality of the tape got worse after all those years.

It was a sad night. It reminds me of a full, packed pub with a lot of people who enjoyed it to see Townes perform like this. I had my recorder with me, otherwise I left Rotown after three songs. I had a long talk about the last couple of Townes van Zandt gigs with Michael Weston King when he stayed in my house for some days. Michael, opened for Townes with his band the Good Sons in London, the Borderline on december 03 1996. The rest is history.

Anyway I upload this gig for those of you who are interested in new Townes recordings or to complete their collection, but after listening it again, I wished he cancelled this evening. I have great memories of the show he did in Heythuysen, november 1994 (the Netherlands).

For some of you this is a special one....
