Townes Van Zandt...solo
"There Ain't No Mo'..."
The Borderline
London, UK
3rd December 1996

Recorded by Soledriver

This was Townes' last ever show, straight from my original DAT tape.
Exactly sixteen years ago...I thought it was already out there, but I can't see this on the tracker...
So it's coming-of-age anniversary would seem like a good time.
Obviously it's a historical document. Townes seemed better than when we had last seen him,
almost exactly one year before. It was therefore a great shock a month later when the news came through.
Lots of rambling, all the usual jokes, and a few camera clicks...I'll put up the "famous" archetypal Townes photo.
The title is from an unfortunately prophetic quote during the show.

Lineage : Sony ECM 907 microphone > Sony D7 DAT machine transferred via a
Tascam DA-20 Mk 2 DAT machine onto an HHb burnit CDr recorder...some level adjustment to eliminate ear-destruction
when the applause kicks in.
