personal notes : an acoustic intimate show . I've seen Travis a few times back in the day, but this was different .Two and half hours of the Man and his Guitar . I knew he could play guitar well, but had no idea he was this talented on guitar. Wendell Cox usually handles the guitar in his road band and Wendell is a monster on guitar. Anyhow , I tried to video this, but I got caught ( you will hear the usher on the 4th song telling me to put my cam up ) I managed to get the first 3 songs on video. To me, Travis isnt Country, but I labeled this show as Country . He is to me ,a Southern Rocking ,Soulful ,Country Outlaw . As I'm a Georgia Boy myself ,I followed his career before he got famous. I remember when he came to the clubs in our town . And when he got famous, he still remembered his roots. ( Look at his resume - Buddy Guy -Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Eagles - Atlanta Rhythym Section - Lynyrd Skynyrd - CDB - etc ,and so forth ) . This recording turned out Very Good . The usual chatter in some spots as two ladies behind me really liked Travis's pants, and his roadie. I almost turned around and explained that he is a guitar tech , but I didnt. The Crowd was very receptive as this is sort of a homecoming for a fellow Georgia Boy . Travis talks about his father, and it got emotional for most of us. ( As some of us can relate to loosing a family member ). My wife was in tears at this part of the show . Nuff Said.

Enjoy the show .
