...it really pleases me when Trembling Bells piss off the purists.
implying that they "don't belong" or are some kind of copyist nostalgia act
just reinforces my feeling that they are doing plenty right....
they don't exactly wear all their influences (ranging from rimbaud to dennis potter, lou reed to emily dickinson
and far beyond) on their sleeves, but they are there, in the bloodstream..

tonight they effortlessly move through the weights in a fantastic showcase for the latest album
"The Sovereign Self" topped off with a rousing "The Auld Triangle" evoking bob, the band and the basement..
