OldNeumanntapr Notes-
This was the first day of the First Annual two-day Troubadours Of Folk Festival, at UCLAs Drake Stadium. Thankfully, our illustrious Santa Barbara agent recorded both days of this event, which has not been duplicated since to the best of my knowledge. Many of Ricks recordings have never circulated, so I wanted to make sure that I transferred every one of the sets from this festival. Kudos for Rick for attempting this Herculean Feat! I have recorded all-day festivals before and they are a lot of work, especially when you consider the stealthiness attributes. There was another taper at this event, but it is unknown if that taper recorded all the sets. Only a select few sets circulate from the other source, which was recorded with Nakamichi CM-300 microphones. (After examining the band line up from the festival, it appears that every set was not recorded. Saturdays recordings equal five discs, whereas Sundays sets equal seven discs. Most of the show is represented in this collection.) Note: To keep the anthology complete, the John Prine set previously uploaded by itself has been included. Listeners may choose to burn the collection into the indicated discs, or simply play each day of the festival in its entirety in a FLAC player. The files have been tagged to easily facilitate either option.
