Editing notes:
* There was a 0.29-second broadcast dropout at 6:35 into Track 3. It was repaired with a 0.7-second splice from a similar passage;
* An 8.3-second station ID at 10:43 into Track 3 was removed. It was replaced with a crossfade between the remaining sections, but some comments about Nick Daniels III (who had died a few days earlier) were lost.
* Another station ID (of 8 seconds) occurred at 8:15 into Track 5. It was removed and replaced with a crossfade;
* A 0.18-second broadcast dropout occurred at 9:07 into Track 5. It was repaired with a 0.4-second splice from a similar passage;
* At about 4:19 into track 6, a 0.08-second broadcast dropout occurred. I closed it up;
* A -30db notch filter was used to remove the 19kHz FM pilot tone; and
* iZotope's Ozone 2 plugin was used to improve the (non-existent) stereo image. Image width was set to 67% with Stereoize Mode I set to 5.0 ms. Prior to applying the plugin, the recording was reduced 2 db to prevent clipping.


Notes:
An apparent error caused all of my 1st Sunday (4/28/2024) recordings to be captured in (two-channel) mono - probably an error on my part but possibly a broadcast error. To compensate, I used a plugin (see editing notes above) that per iZotope applies "Haas Effect-based decorrelation. This mode delays a copy of the mid channel and injects it into the side channel." The result is an approximation of a stereo image, that in my opinion sounds significantly better than the unmodified mono recording.

Trumpet Mafia was scheduled to play the WWOZ Jazz Tent from 2:50 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. on the first Sunday of the 2024 Jazzfest.
