The Velvets didn't appear at too many outdoor festivals, much less headline them. This one in Rindge (population ~5000?) was supposedly a "Benefit for the Mason Volunteer Fire Dept". The boys rise to the occasion with an inspired performance (although a bit short for headliners?). The Professor captured a great recording with Lou's vocals up front and clear.

I understand that the Professor's master reels are now in the possession of Universal Music Group, and were transferred and mastered for potential release as part of the "Bootleg Series". It seems unlikely that that will ever happen now, so this 1st generation copy is as good as it's gonna get.....
