Notes: This excellent, tiny venue closed this week. This was the penultimate show. Joan Osborne's Dylanology was the final show last night. They are moving to a brand spanking new location, at a downtown Hudson River pier, in 2020.
I always liked this venue because it was so good for filming. However, filming was an issue on this occasion. A woman sitting at a table 4 seats away from the stage was filming and making it painfully obvious with the camera up high for all to see. Jakob asked her to stop once at 8:51. I was sitting farther away from the stage, but in such a small venue he could easily notice me too. So I changed my filming technique to be more stealth. At 42:15 Jakob tells the same woman not only to stop, but to give him her camera! After a minute or two, she reluctantly gave it to him and it was kept on the stage for the rest of the show. I continued to film, but was now very paranoid, convinced that I'd be the next one called out. This affected the video quality somewhat, but the audio is all good.
