This is the final set of night 2 of the 4th Annual Willie K BBQ Blues Fest.

Unfortunately we got to the venue a bit late. The Waikapu Ballroom is at the top of a hill

and parking was way at the bottom. The shuttle from parking to the venue was over stressed
and the wait to get on board was 45 minutes to an hour.

When we finally arrived at the show, Taj Mahal had already started playing. It was a
disappointment to have missed the first part of the show - but this year's Blues Fest
made up for it! Willie K really outdid himself this time!

There were a number of artists and bands that played which really deserve attention.
The Deborah Vial Band from Maui is one. Another is the Billy Carroll Band out of
New Jersey. These guys were on Maui to record an album as well as play at the
Blues Festival. You really need to hear these guys.

The Grand Finale was the Jam with Willie K's Warehouse Blues Band. Willie brought
several of his young proteges onstage at times (check out Annie Hess vocals on
Chain Of Fools).

But what really got the crowd going was the appearance of Alice Cooper and an
extended performance with Steven Tyler. Only on Maui will you
hear Steven's Country tune "Love Is Your Name" played with Willie K
using a slack key tuning. Also only on Maui will you hear Steven Tyler
play piano on the Aerosmith tune "Dream On" accompanied only with Willie K on ukulele!
