Brother Simplex has been busy uploading the Estival shows, now I'd like to step in and take care of the Bellinzona Piazza Blues festival ones. The usual, never appropriate, HUGE thanks to the SwissBird for bringing them here in the first place.

Simplex has already uploaded Otis Clay, which was the closing gig of this year's festival. I am now going back to night one and upload the rest of the shows as they actually happened timewise.

This was the first concert by WS & W on the old continent, they were supposed to play Rome the previous night but the gig never happened due to many circumstances. I am sure they will be back again, especially after reading WS's own exciting reports of his short Swiss/Italian tour. A big surprise, definitely one of my personal top three shows for Piazza Blues 2006. You just gotta check them out if you have a chance. Watermelon makes up a great stage show, he can hardly stand still a second, even while soloing on the slide guitar.

I have not investigated his biography in detail, but simply upon looking at his face one can imagine the trucker has seen something in his days, btw do I see a resemblance with Tom Waits?

Hope you enjoy as well - next up primadonna Bettye LaVette
