Here's another fine sounding WR show from 1974 that I had just about ready to go prior to learning of Wayne Shorter's passing (RIP). Unlike the shows I upped from Bellingham, WA and Chicago, this one had been up here before, but not since 2011. My copy came via a cd-r snail mail trade, so not exactly sure of the lineage, but I will share what was up here before when seeded by abbcccus or ricola.
This one does nod toward the current Mysterious Traveller album that came out a little over a half year before the gig. It's interesting for including a little of Wayne's Manolete from Sweetnighter married to Miroslav Vitous's final WR composition American Tango. Looking ahead, it also includes a slight nod towards Birdland which wouldn't take form for a few more albums.
Thanks to the trader who made this available to me, and to whoever recorded it and distributed it from then to now. Once again, upped now in tribute to Wayne in keeping a big part of his musical legacy alive.
