a MIRO and BLUESHACKS taping trip

Rec. Info:
Sony ECM 717 mic -> Zoom H2n (@ WAV 16/44) -> SDcard -> Snailmail -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...
Recorded by dear MIRO and BLUESHACKS somewhere not far from stage edge. It was not indicated who recorded which show, but as I know from my previous trips with the two good friends,
that it was most likely 50:50. Very nice outdoor recording, all instruments and vocals are clear in the mix, a bit of chatter here and there (sometimes even from the tapers (I know your voices!),
but nothing that would distract this fine recording too much.

After a day of fun at the Yellowstock Festival on 8th of August, my fellow friends decided to go even a step further and drove to this lovely small festival in northern France (some 70 kms
from Paris) and came back with raving reviews. Located in the woods outside a very small village, those thre days of peace and music were simply mindblowing to them. Apart from a bit of
rain during the weekend and some funny occurances like selfmade toilets of the more rural sort, the most told expression was: Burg Herzberg in small. Well, judging the size of the "big one"
with far more than 10.000+ people, this setting was sold out with about 500 only to a very fine admission fee of 30 Euros including campng for the whole weekend. I have not heard too much
about the catering, but as we're in France, it surely could've not too bad. As it was also holiday and - yes your fellow Spacebandit was not hand for supporting taping - a bunch of bands
were taped, but far from all those that played on the two lovely designed stages. All thanks straight to the towns of Gescher and Kevelaer to my buddies for their fine "work". SB.

As we are getting close to the end of the string of recording of lovely Celebration Days in Cernoy, northern France, I'm sure that this a real highlight, and most likely my personal
favourite show from that summer weekend in the woods. WEDGE was founded by already longtime "veterans" of the Berlin Psychedelic Scene in early 2014. As I don't know about the past of
David and The Holg, I surely know about Kiryk. As a leading member of both the unique LIQUID VISIONS and then the more 60's garage rock and roll fueled MAGNIFICIENT BROTHERHOOD I can
(if I lift off the hazy shades of my brain memory card) remember sitting with him and other members of Liquid Visions in June of 2000 and laughing our asses of about a horrible performance
of RON TREE'S VAGINA (yes, that's true) at a Hawkfan festival in Hamburg Harburg. Great 'tis was! But they called their quits soon after and THE MAGNIFICIENT BROTHERHOOD emerged from its
ashes with a wonderful show at Burg Herzberg Festival later in 2008. Well many years have flown down the river of life since, and I've to admit, that I was late when WEDGE turned up
on a supporting tour with the great FLYING EYES in last October, so - sorry - no recording exists from that show. Anyway, I'll have a great time watching/listening/experiencing their music
soon at the PSYCHEDELIC NETWORK FESTIVAL in Wuerzburg, Germany in late November.
What about the music? I think all music from the former mentioned bands melt into some fine Garage Rock and Roll, Psychedelic Rock, early 70's Hardrock and Stoner Rock. I like it, so you
probably like this, too. LIghten one up and enjoy! SB.
