West, Bruce & Laing
1973-04-25
Greens Playhouse, Glasgow, UK
All thanks to kind fellow dimer 'chappo' (Thanks a million!!!) who has tracked down, and managed to get this recording from the guy who runs the site:
"RESCUED RECORDINGS FROM THE GLASGOW APOLLO". Some amazing stuff he has managed to rescue from The Apollo.
I wish we could get Humble Pie recordings from there.
Chappo received only the wave files without any info, except that the transfer was from the master audence cassette.
That is how I received it. Used TLH to check for MP3, and to convert to FLAC8.
Glasgow is mentioned in a couple of spots, including the sample below.
There is plenty of tape hiss, but if memory serves me right, this is the best (circulating) playing from the 1973 run of shows.
The guys are in great mood throughout. They only played one more show after this one, and that was it for this amazing trio.
Leslie West - guitar & vocals
Jack Bruce - bass & vocals
Corky Laing - drums & humor
