This was taped from 4th Row at the front on Simon Townshend�s side of the stage,
probably the best view I�ve ever had in an arena! The sound is nice and clear and
it is a good recording marred only by some talking which thankfully is mostly at
the end or between songs. It is most noticeable on �Helpless Dancer�. 2 drunk guys
arrived and made their way to their seats next to me and my mate, over 30mins after
the show had started and can clearly be heard saying �I apologise, we�ve been in the pub all this time!�.
This same guy also managed to lose his watch over the row in front, so some commotion can
also be heard at the beginning of �The Rock�. He also decided to leave midway through the final song
�Tea & Theatre� so can be heard again, but this does not spoil a very good recording of a great show.

I have seen The Who many times over the years and I have to say that they have been on top form on this tour.
I felt excitement and emotion at seeing them and at times their performance made the hairs on the back of
my neck stand up. For me this version of Quadrophenia is far superior to the 1996/97 tour and �The Rock�
took on particular significance with the overhead screens showing scenes of political and world history
events that sent a shiver down my spine. I would urge anyone to see them on any of the remaining dates
if they get the chance. You will not be disappointed!
