Comments: This recording captures Wilco at the second night of their "No Repeats" three-night residency at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago. Over the three nights, they played an astonishing 68 songs from their 30-year (!) catalog. The shows all clocked in at a little under two hours, but they were efficiently run and high-energy performances. Unfortunately, I forgot to change the batteries before the third show, and my recorder shut down 40 minutes into the set -- so if you recorded the third show, please post it!

This recording was made on the left side of the 8th row of the balcony; all in all, probably one of the best places to tape from in this venue. (I have always had a hard time getting a good recording here, particularly from the floor, where an overhang tends to muddy the acoustics and the rowdy crowd often overshadows the music.) As luck would have it, we were in the front row past the aisle, and in a row of two seats -- since we had no neighbors in front or on either side, there is very little audience interference. Very good recording overall, though it sounds slightly more distant than the first night. Since no other recordings have surfaced as of yet, I think Wilco collectors will be satisfied with this recording.

Check out the samples in the comments if in doubt.
