Wild Turkey
1973-05-10* _ Golders Green, London, England _ The Hippodrome _ (M?-SBD)
BBC "In Concert"

01. Good Old Days
02. Tomorrow's Friend
03. Eternal Mother -> The Return
--. If You See Kay (OMITTED, OFFICIALLY RELEASED)
04. Butterfly

Total Time ::: 21:23 (with omitted track 25:34)

::: EXC pre-FM? low gen (master?) stereo SBD. Check samples for earaches or earquakes.
::: WARTS: Ain't nuttin' wrong.
::: *1973-05-10 (actual concert date). First broadcast 1973-06-09.
::: DJ/moderator dialogue normally in these in concerts may have been cut out.
::: Fantastic bass sound from our hero Glenn Cornick, and an excellent overall mix.
::: Wild Turkey's first of two BBC In Concert appearances.
::: NOT the same as Wild Turkey BBC In Concert #2 from 1973-10-12, first broadcast 1973-11-17.
::: "If You See Kay" OMITTED. Offically released on "Rarest Turkey" (source uncredited). Too bad 'cause this one's stereo & the released one mono & a less interesting mix in other ways, likely from the band's own SBD. Spliced right where the released CD fades so you can merge them.
::: Almost exactly 6 months after my only live Turkey experience.
::: If you dig this, the 2014 Audio Archives "Live In Wellington 1973" CD is well worth picking up.
::: Thanks to DIMER JacoZappa for supplyin' the goods.

Recording Information ::: master stereo soundboard reel -> ? -> flacs. (sounds like pre-FM, very low gen or off master).

Playback 2016-05-14 ::: flacs -> TLH -> wavs -> Audacity [fades, a few dullspot repairs, some claps reduced, volume adjustments, (pitch/speed was spot on - checked with frequency analysis), NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2016-05-30.

Line-up ::: Glenn Cornick - electric bass // Gary Pickford-Hopkins - electric guitar, vocals // Michael "Mick" Dyche - electric guitar // Steve Gurl - piano // Jeffrey Jones - drums.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 296 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders & DIMER JacoZappa for passin' it along to me - MUCH appreciated. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Seems essentially uncirculated, at least online, except for a couple of low quality MP3 radio broadcasts. Here's a smokin' delight & I know you DIMERs likes yr Turkey hot. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
