::: Superb quality stereo SBD. Check samples to squash doubts or for some oohs & ahs.
::: Warts: Almost none. Repaired pops one at a time, but surely missed a few.
::: 1973-10-12 is the actual concert date. The first broadcast was 1973-11-17.
::: UK_1973_LP_BBC Transcription Services CN 1936/S. Climax Blues Band was on the flipside.
::: Titled "Pop Spectacular featuring Wild Turkey 'In Concert' Stereo Pop Special 56"
::: "Sweet Talkin' Woman" was recorded, but left off due to transcription disc time restrictions (according to "Rarest Turkey" CD liner notes).
::: Nothing here officially released. Some trax used as bonus material on pirated CD reissues of their albums.
::: Wild Turkey was on a UK tour the entire month of October 1973.
::: I find Mike Harding pretty inane. If you feel the same, omit odd number trax to omit him.
::: While Glenn Conick has a Wikipedia page, amazingly Wild Turkey still does not!
::: This was Wild Turkey's 2nd BBC In Concert. Does anyone have their 1st BBC In Concert to upload (also '73)?
::: Also looking for complete Wild Turkey Top Gear sessions & the Bob Harris session.

DimeTravel 203 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: I admit it. I was a Wild Turkey addict. Their records were regular spinners & the 2nd "Turkey" LP I used to listen to after setting the turntable for auto repeat, or whatever the function was called. The tonearm would get to end end of a side, pick itself up, back up, & start over - early automation! More than one occasion saw 3 or 4 listens of a side in a row. While I was into "Turkey" (the 2nd album) the most, my mate David White was busy annoying his folks with "Battle Hymn", said title being more than appropriate for volume wars with his parents. So, many was the afternoon we'd go for a walk, get back to his house & crank up "Butterfly" and let her rip. One of my fave concert experiences was a triple bill with Wild Turkey, Tim Buckley & Frank Zappa. I stood in on side balcony and was transported - Wild Turkey looked & sounded VERY cool. This In Concert broadcast is late in the game, but wonderful quality & a great listen. Alan 'Tweke' Lewis had been replaced by Bernie Marsden, and Bernie comes off quite well here. Still a lotta respect for this band in this house! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
