Notes:
Overall, this is a pretty solid recording, and I was very pleased with the results. Willie's voice and guitar playing are as solid as ever in my opinion. This is the first time I've ever seen him without a second guitar player, so he handled it all and gave us quite a show. For a guy 76 years old, he's setting the bar pretty high for others. For the first part of the show, I sat on the bleachers on the right side just over halfway back. The sound was great, but the crowd around me was talking too much and getting worse the more they drank. I guess it should be expected at a show at a casino on a weekend. So, we decided to move to a better spot. From the 37:50 mark to around 40:30 (track 13 basically) the sound changes a little as I walked around. I hated to have to do that, but I knew it was only going to get worse. Especially since one of the worst offenders started talking to my wife who told her to shut up, but even that didn't help. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded during the first part. I apologize for the sound dip as I walked around, but I thought it would be worth it in the end. Despite that, it was still a good call as we found a much better group to sit with. The guy next to me clapped and hollered at the end of songs, but I'll take that over talking during the music any day. Ended up sitting on bleachers on left side (Willie's right) of arena halfway back. I'm pretty sure the setlist is accurate with the exception of the two instrumental tracks which I don't know. If you know their proper names, please let me know. Enjoy!
