Tapers Notes: The group is also known for being the offspring of
prominent musicians; the Wilsons are the daughters of Brian Wilson
of The Beach Boys, while Phillips's parents are John Phillips and
Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas. Their 1990 self-titled
debut album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and scored three
number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making the trio the
best-selling female group at the time. The were nominated for 5
Grammies. They wrote most of their songs, albeit with some help
from pominent song writer and producer, Glen Ballard.

Wilson Phillips is on a comeback. Their 2012 CD "Dedicated" is dedicated
to the music of their parents, and features songs from the Beach Boys and
the Mamas and Papas. The ladies like to talk a great deal between songs
so if that bothers you, I split the tracks with the banter as separate
tracks.

This tape catches the trio at a local concert, and their Mom, Michelle
Phillips was present and spoke about the making of "California Dreaming."
