ASH time again at lovely Rosenhof in Osnabrueck. Usually our "start of the concert season" each year, but this year things went an other way, as there were two brilliant
shows from the BEVIS FROND before. So, with three shows within four days, I was very excited to hear what Andy Powell and company had to offer. Of course, no downer...
The thing I really like about this band is, that they're changing their setlists almost completely every tour. What I didn't know was, that they'd decided to put on a real
long show. From my close to 20 Wishbone Ash shows over the past 24 years, this was the longest I've ever experienced. And what a great setlist, too.
My personal highlight came early with my first "Errors of my ways" (never heard that one live before, really!), but also the two non-setlist songs "Persephone" and
"Living proof" were much welcomed surprises. Before I let the music do the talking, I'd like to thank Mr. Steak for not dumping the neck of his bass in my face, though there
was some funny action attempting this on and off during the show. But, of course, with a smile on both our faces. Had to thank him per handshake, and a "See you at Herzberg
in the summertime!" Enjoy! SB.
