I was alerted by a fellow TTDer that my uploads were not sounding as good as they could be. I compared one of my recent transfers to one made a few years ago from the same show and I was not happy with the test results. I wouldn't say the current tranfers were horrible, but certainly not up to par.
So, to prove that my deck was the problem, I bought a new Maranz a few days ago and compared again. Yes, this new deck makes the transfers sound much better. So, I was able to go back a little ways, and I will re-present some of my recent uploads with the fresh transfers. I am submitting two samples for comparison. Same section of music from the old and new transfer ....
Another Tormato show for you. Pretty decent sound quality, check the sample
