Yes - June 26, 2010
Jones Beach, Wantaugh NY

A Nice ocean breeze, a rainstorm that never happened & a night of fine music.
This will be the last time I go to see this version of Yes. Don't get me wrong, the musicianship is still superb. Oliver Wakeman is technically a fine keyboard player but he just lacks his fathers stage presence. Benoit David does a fine imitation of Jon Anderson but it remains just that, an imitation.
The show was good, no surprises, although Steve's acoustic version of "The Ancient" was really nice.
I'm just afraid that Yes, one of my top 3 favorite bands of all time, is becoming an "oldies"act, nothing original and nothing new to offer.
So time will tell if things change for the better, I hope so.
