Yes w/Roger Dean
Saenger Theatre
Mobile, AL

This incarnation of Yes put on a great show! The band was energetic, the sound was mixed well and all members played their hearts out. Jon Davison's voice sounds much better in concert than on albums, in my opinion, and he hit every note he needed to hit. My only quibble, albeit a small one, is that one of fBilly Sherwood's basses is a bit muddy sounding whereas the other one he uses in the show has that Chris Squire sound. But boy, he cranks that thing up in the Wurm section of Starship Trooper (actually the whole band cranked up). I went with medium expectations, but came away totally satisfied. This is a show worth going to.
