The 2nd Collection of Music by Winthrop Foxmore and Zoogz Rift to be shared from my collection. The section of text just below is the same as the text in the first collection . . .

Very neat, rare, and historical recording of Zoogz Rift and Winthrop Foxmore. (aka Robert Pawlikowski & Dave Mitros). This is, so far, the earliest Zoogz recording I have shared. All of these early recordings were made/recorded by Zoogz.

Zoogz performs on: acoustic guitar, synth, percussion, and vocals.
Winthrop Foxmore on: vocals and percussion.

Zoogz and Winthrop started out making several 8mm experimental films together (late 1969/early 1970). They also made music. Comedy music. Zoogz bought and ARP2600 Synth during April of 1972. Shortly thereafter, Zoogz got more into creating "serious music". By the Fall of 1973 Zoogz had put together the first line-up of Zobus and although initally Winthrop was to be involved he pulled out very early on into the run that Zobus had. Zobus did perform some material that Zoogz and Foxmore wrote together.

All of the above tracks with titles were taken from the j-card in the cassette I pulled the tracks from, as written by ZR.

About this recording.............

No exact date give. I am thinking summer or fall, 1972.

Another great chunk of very early recordings by the late, great Zoogz Rift. This recording is about half songs and half ARP2600 workouts. As far as the synth stuff, track 2 "The Sellout, Pt. 2" has some very excellent passages and parts and ideas. Great listen.

I was laughing today as I transferred the tape because at one point I heard a lot of sounds that I know from video games. Zoogz and I were both big fans of video games and Nintendo home gaming systems. Crazy, the same sounds! PacMan, Defender, Astroids, MariO! . . Oh, shit . . . the tape....

"The Dentist" had me again laughing pretty hard. I'll leave it at that. "Out Of The Sky" and "Cowboy Song" are both played back at a very high speed. Fun Stuff. "Peaches", yes . . the FZ compostion. On my tape, in ZR's handwriting, after the word PEACHES he wrote "AWFUL". Ha. Understood. But it's not so bad. . . . just a few licks/riffs/parts from the piece. Let's see... the first track "Gloria" is not the classic rock number. hahaha. it does contain a section goofing on a very popular song though. . . you'll hear it. Enjoy.

All thanks to Zoogz Rift. So much amazing music. We Thanks you very much my friend!
