This is an unbelievably good performance taped from excellent seats. The band was having fun on stage, smiling a lot, particularly Steven Stills. He had been sick at their concert the year before and the contrast in his energy level was remarkable.

The superb version of Wooden Ships and David Crosby's emotional cover of For Free from Joni Mitchell's Ladies of the Canyon album are among the best renditions I've ever taped. Listen to the audience carrying the vocals at the end of Our House and the subsequent applause.

If the right channel seems to move around a bit, it was because my stand broke and we had to hand-hold the mikes. I had the left channel and a group of friends sitting 1-3 seats over took turns with the right.

The remastering process included the use of a standard Ozone preset with minor tweaks and a fair amount of equalization. Like most tapes made at the boomy old Boston Garden, boosting the vocals and lowering the mid-bass made a huge difference.
